Lips

Dr. Mentz uses both injectable fillers and fat grafting (link to fat grafting) to give lips a fuller, softer appearance. Hyaluronic Acid fillers such as Juvederm™ and Restylane ® temporarily plump the lips, and can last approximately six months to a year, depending on the filler. Fat grafts are obtained from a patient’s own fat through liposuctioning areas such as the inner thighs or abdomen and carefully injecting it into the lips. Fat grafts can last for months and sometimes years, though this varies depending on the individual.
