How THERMIva works

Designed specifically for tightening of the vagina and labia rejuvenation, the THERMIva device emits precise, controlled radiofrequency heat energy to create new collagen. This results in skin strengthening and structural support from within.

How safe is THERMIva?

When administered by a licensed, experienced medical professional, THERMIva is very safe and effective. Not only has it been FDA approved; it also uses temperature-controlled radiofrequency that has been clinically tested and proven to be safe for patients.

What can THERMIva treat?

  • Inner and outer vaginal looseness
  • Diminished libido
  • Prolapse
  • Orgasmic dysfunction
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Atrophic vaginitis
  • Stress incontinence

What happens during a THERMIva treatment?

One of the best things about THERMIva is that it’s a quick, pain-free procedure. Using a wand-like handheld device, THERMIva gently remodels the vaginal tissue both directly inside the vagina and on the outside.

Patients find treatment very comfortable, describing the feeling as a warm, massaging sensation. Treatments time is about 45 minutes, and we usually recommend three treatments over a period of three months.

Recovery and results

One of the biggest benefits to THERMIva is that there’s no downtime. Patients can return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. Every patient will vary, but many see and feel results instantly. For others, it may take a couple of weeks for results to be noticeable. Results can last for up to 12 months or longer, and you may come back 1 to 2 times a year for maintenance, if desired.

Candidates for THERMIva

Women who are the best candidates for THERMIva are those who:

  • Are experiencing vaginal looseness
  • Are bothered by a “rubbing” feeling or have a “camel toe”
  • Have dryness of the vagina or labia
  • Have trouble keeping tampons in
  • Struggle with sexual dysfunction or orgasmic dysfunction
  • Experience pelvic prolapses (fallen bladder or fallen rectum)
  • Are struggling with urinary leaking or incontinence

FAQ

How soon can I undergo THERMIva after giving birth?

About 6 to 8 weeks after vaginal delivery, the tissues will be healed and the vagina will be ready for treatment.

Can I have THERMIva if I have an IUD?

If your IUD is correctly located in the uterus (away from the vaginal cavity), then it’s safe for you to undergo THERMIva treatments. The only instance in which this may present a problem is if you have uterine prolapse.

Will THERMIva affect my menstrual cycle?

No changes to the menstrual cycle after THERMIva have been reported.
